Two hundred years back, Bangor Theological Seminary appeared on the edge of a coaxing northern boondocks. Today, in a period of enormous test for confidence groups as we have known them, we travel toward another skyline. We now enter our third century with another name, The BTS Center. We are a non-benefit magnanimous association in the State of Maine, carrying on the noteworthy, contracted instructive mission set up in 1814, as we embrace better approaches to give assets and encounters to philosophical training, profound development, and competency for service. We are giving careful consideration to the needs of grown-up learners in a digitally-incorporated society, serving in littler, rustic settings.

Our progenitors were established in New England congregational points of view and practices. Bangor Theological Seminary was a firmly related theological school of the United Church of Christ. In its new connection, The BTS Center remains a UCC related service. Indeed, even as we commend our notable covenantal association with the United Church of Christ, our projects are ecumenical in nature and intended to serve people and groups from differed confidence customs — and in addition persons who might not have recognized a profound home.
